Kevin Jones
Power Forward Mount Vernon High School
WELCOME
Kevin Jones is the starting power forward for the New York State PHSAA State Champions Mount Vernon High School. Kevin has been a member of the varsity basketball team at Mount Vernon High School since his freshman year in 2005. He has been an active participant and team leader since he joined the “ Knights”. As a member of the varsity basketball team Kevin was a major contributor to their back to back New York State PHSAA State Championships in 2006 and 2007 as well as their New York State Federation title in 2006. His passion, drive and determination paid off on the court and the classroom. Kevin has been a member of the National Honor Society since his freshman year and a scholastic All-American who has received countless offers from several hi-major collegiate programs.
These well known collegiate programs respect his talents as an elite basketball player and academic scholar. They recognize his abilities as straight up post player, aggressor on the boards offensively and defensively and his sniper like shooting range. Kevin Jones is personally committed to his development as a man and a basketball player who can take his game to the next level. He is a person who embodies the high basketball ideals and winning attitude that are expected from a member of the Mount Vernon High School Varsity team.
When he is not on the court showcasing his basketball skills Kevin can be found giving back to his community as a basketball coach and mentor for the youth who participate in various basketball and community programs. Kevin recognizes and acknowledges the positive and supportive guidance and mentoring that is a major part of his development. He is committed to giving back to the community as a way of saying THANK YOU to everyone for their continued support. Who is Kevin Jones ?
